Painted after a movie poster from Return of the King. I did this as an exercise in how close I could get to capturing the mood of the original.

Very nice, you've captured the poster quite well in this picture! The colours are nice and popping to the eye. I have a little critics, not sure if it's your fault or the poster, but Aragorn's jaw is a little asymmetrical. Other than that, well done!

The lighting, colour, and composition here are wonderful. I too would like to see something of this nature with an original concept.

Like the work you've done on the horse and the left crowd the best. I think you did capture the impression of Aragon, only you should try and correct his pupils. His looking a bit crossed-eyed, making him look funny instead of heroic....

Hm.. What to say?
Perhaps is face looks a little bit like Kevin Costner, not exactly like Aragorn,
but great painting of the poster at all.

It's a copy of a poster, but at least it looks like you actually have the skills to paint and knowledge of what different material look like... why not paint a battle scene of your own?

awesome! the only comment ihave is the "misc soldiers" in the background...they have no faces

is this intentional? if not, maybe just put faces on the first few in the front, so its not so noticeable
awesome work though, aside from that!
